Hello there!

My name is Rafael, and I’m an actor in Chicago, IL.

I moved to the city in 2021 after graduating from Ithaca College’s BFA Acting program. Since then, I’ve worn many hats: appearing as an actor in various stage productions, as a background actor in film and tv, working as an assistant director, an open-mic host, a standup comedian, a sketch writer, and as a bartender. As an actor, I am drawn to new and contemporary works that explore the lives of those on the margins, and writing that seeks to challenge actors and audiences alike.

I most recently closed a production of Topher Payne’s play Angry Fags at Lifeline Theatre, produced by Ghostlight Theatre Ensemble, and am appearing as part of the sketch group It Left The Groupchat, where I am a writer and ensemble member, performing the 3rd Wednesday of every month!
